About Us

During the summer months of '03 my wife Devorah and I established the Shabbos Awareness Center of Yerushalayim. Our goal was to bring awareness to the most joyous day of the week. To make Shabbos come alive with every aspect of joy, inspiration, and shabbat ruach possible . Many people who have joined us for our Shabbos adventure, have tried to describe our Shabbos programs to others. The best we've heard so far is "You have to participate in the Shabbos Shabbaton weekend if you want to understand what goes on at the Shabbos meals". It's intense, relaxed, fun, heart-warming, joyous, inspirational, informative and great food. Our Shabbat guest range from religious and observant to non-religious and non-affiliated. We've hosted over 25,000 guest in our first five years and we've hosted many Birthright and Educational groups from all over the world. Many families, schools, and tourists have enjoyed our Shabbos, Shabbat, Shabbaton weekend programs.
